Those that have been building since the early 90’s and are now finally seeing the light of day.  We welcome any dope representation of the art form.  We have been witness to many Latin and white American artists growing and getting the respect they deserve. Recently we have found a number of ill MCs in the Armenian Hip Hop community.  We would like to present them to you and see what you think.  Just as in any setting some are better than others and you will find yourself liking some and not so much of others. But, regardless give respect where you think it is due. Take a listen to this video called “Project 100”.  Brought to you by @Dropper_1 and @CrazyLoc1 with help from @solo_626 it was created to pay homage to their ancestry.  1.5 million Armenians were killed in 1915 and is considered one of the world’s bigg

Detane's God’s Bleed Album Review “The Fight For Hip Hop Continues”

Image
Detane recently released an album entitled “God’s Bleed.”   It’s been a long time coming, but it has arrived and is knocking down doors. After spending some time with the album we are ready to give you a brief overview.   We start by saying it is a very substantial album. One of the few remaining albums that you can almost play all the way through without skipping tracks.  His voice, cadences, beat choice, & song topic quickly solidify him as a professional. Through the sound quality you can definitely tell he has paid his dues and then some. At times the sounds and beats sound a little dated, which actually gives a nostalgic vibe of late ’90’s hip hop.  Those few songs mixed with the fresh vibe of the others come together to collectively create an experience you should definitely check out. The “angels & demons” theme of the album give you a enjoyable paradox to explore.  He has everything form street, socially conscious, politically fueled, to B-Boy inspired songs.

American Ultra Movie Review

Image
American Ultra Trailer Link American Ultra is a action comedy, starring Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart. It touches on the subject of government enhanced soldiers.  You don't expect your regular run of the mill pot head to end up being a super soldier. It was a fun, light watch which was enjoyable.  A bit slow at some parts but, mostly kept you interested in what would happen next.  It also had a Good Plot twist, which we wont give to much details as to not spoil it for you. Who has seen this movie? Are you the tree or the car?

“Straight Outta Compton” Viewer Movie Review “Straight Outta Compton” is an American biographical film looking into the amazing journey of the rise and fall of Compton, California hip hop group N.W.A. Even though the movie revolves around N.W.A.’s debut, they go beyond and venture into the personal stories of each main group member. Ice Cube Said the movie includes "the intimate conversations that helped forge N.W.A” Casting was amazing, for the most part. The actors not only looked like the people they were portraying, but also mastered their mannerisms and facial expressions.  This helps you get lost into the storyline.  The acting was very believable. When audiences are familiar with the faces of the real life members, it is difficult to accomplish this. The relationships between Ice Cube (O’Shea Jackson Jr.), Dr Dre (Corey Hawkins), Easy E (Jason Mitchell), & Jerry Heller (Paul Giamatti) were very interesting to watch and were conveyed perfectly.  Ever c

MURDER IN THE FIRST

She, an anonymous she, had done something wrong, but he wasn't sure what. He was in a blind rage. As he came to and the haze lifted off his brain he realized her throat was tightly gripped in his hands. Barley struggling at this point. Holding on to the last few bits of life, he realized it was his ex-girlfriend. Her gold chains intertwined between his fingers mixed with her locks of hair. It wasn't too late, he could let go and un-mangle her body, which had been brutally smashed back in half with multiple broken bones.  He looked up towards his father. Who still had this daunting rage in his eyes. This gave the young man the feeling he should finish. And being at an anger of level 8, he did and she was lifeless. Quickly they realized this was wrong and regretted it. He wiped off the finger prints and they took off into the darkness that was only cut by the infrequent street lights.  While walking away he realized maybe he hadn't wiped off the gold chains. Was it e

The Movie in the Sky

An intense sneeze woke me from sleep. My head bumping, my throat burning, and the back of my head throbbing with heat. Even in the serenity of the night I felt an affirmative negativity. The entire town was waiting for the event. It was supposed to be the first of many movies that played in real life dimension. Projecting in the sky and eventually joining us on the surface for the finale. I left the house and stopped at a local gas station. Running the risk of missing the start of the show, I decided to get my car serviced while I was there. The attendant kept avoiding me and taking other customers, even though I was there first. As he finally starts walking towards me the illuminating show began. Everyone in attendance ran up to the highest peek of the mountain to enjoy the presentation. The colors of the intro hugged the edges of the sky. Melting together in a celestial manner. Instantly the Beautiful visuals turn an angry red and start crashing into the surface of the earth
